An Asset is something physical in this context: a diamond, a gold coin, the spear of destiny.

What is a Smart Asset?

A Smart Asset is a physical asset for which a digital representation has been created. These representations are "Smart" because they are programmable (they can have baked-in rules). A good example of a Smart Asset is a Non-Funguble Token representing a physical asset.

Why are we using this word "Digital" so much?

All we mean is that we are using technology to remove the friction of the physical world. Instead of interacting with things in real life, you interact with them online.
